Embedding a edu.glogster.com poster into your wikispaces.com wiki
The instructions for embedding a edu.glogster.com poster into your wiki in wikispaces.com follow.
You will first need to get the "embed" code from your edu.glogster.com poster.
To get the code do the following:
1. Sign in to edu.glogster.com.
2. From your Dashboard, click on "View My Profile" and view your poster by clicking on the link directly under the smaller version of the poster. Once you click on the link you should see a full version of the poster.
3. Click on the "edit your glog" link on the upper right-hand side of your screen and then press the "Save and Publish" button on the upper left-hand side of the screen (this is simply done to get to the screen that has the embed code). Then press the "Save" button on the lower left-hand side of the save window.
4. At this point, you should see an "Embed Code" field towards the bottom of the "What Next" window. Click on the text in the "Embed Code" field. This will select all the text and copy the code to the memory of the computer--once the code is copied to the computer's memory you will see the word "copied" on the screen in a yellow textbox. This indicates that the code has been copied.
(Note: the Embed Code will create a link between your wiki and the page where your edu.glogsger.com poster is posted). This code, once pasted into your wiki, will allow the edu.glogster.com poster to be viewed within your wiki...it actually works really well.
I know this sounds complicated, but you will get the hang of it once you try it.
Once you get the Embed Code for your poster, then all you need to do within your wiki is the following:
1. Sign into your wikispace account (http://wikispaces.com).
2. Navigate to the page where you want to embed the code
3. Click the edit tab (to edit the page).
4. With your mouse, click on the location where you want your poster to be embedded in your wiki. Then, click the Widget button on the Editor iconbar.
5. Click on the "Other HTML" link on the bottom of the widgets menubar.
6. Paste the embed code into the field.
7. Click "Save" to exit the Widget part of the editor system.
9. Click "Preview" to see how the poser looks and make sure that it is placed in the appropriate location. Either click "Continue Editing" to continue working on the wiki or click "Save" to complete the editing process.
