Week 3

Everyone lived through the first 2 weeks! We had a few "bugs" to work out. Some had a problem with submitting files on the assignment page. We were able to find a solution in every case and will continue to solve problems. I hope that you will find the reading in Chapters 3 and 4 fascinating. Keep in mind that you will be using the same learning theories with a different delivery method. Integrating technology will provide "more tools in the toolbox". In the long run, mastering these strategies will make your job easier and your students more successful.

Week 2

Through the years, I have taught History and Philosophy of Education. Chapter 2 provides an excellent overview of the theories underlying inquiry-based technology integration strategies. You are familiar with these theories, and I encourage you to
"think outside the box" in considering how technology encompasses these theories. Certainly, technology can be applied to differentiated instruction as children learn from a variety of methods. The application of technology is certainly a way to reach a child who has difficulty learning from traditional instruction.

Week 1

I know that many of you have experienced apprehension and some frustration with this class. However, I think that you are doing very well. As you have read through Chapter 1, I
am certain that you realize that technology for educators is not the "wave of the future"; it is
now! We are riding the waves and have the choice of "surfin" or drowning. Many of you commented that you wanted to "keep up with your students". These comments came from first grade teachers through high school. Jump in! The water if fine.
